FIEB - Federation of Industries of the State of Bahia
The FIEB System offers services to the companies and to the industrialists and its dependents in education, professional qualification, health, leisure and technological diffusion, through entities that integrate it: Center of Industries of Bahia (CIEB), Industrial Social Service (SESI), National Industrial Training Service (SENAI) and Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL). Created in 1948, the FIEB has carried through many actions as part of its support to the competitiveness of the local industry and stimulation to the improvements in the economy and the life quality of the Bahian population.
One of the programs of support to the companies developed by the FIEB is the Programa Incubadoras de Empresas da Bahia. Composed by 15 partner institutions, it aims to spread the culture and the development of the entrepreneurship and the creation and consolidation of companies with technological innovation, from incubators, poles and other technological environments.
An incubator company offers to entrepreneurs with great potential support in physical infrastructure and enterprise support (consulting and support in the qualification, strategy, marketing, finances, technology, legal, countable and HR areas), in order that new ideas are developed and put in the market with great competitiveness.
PROMO - International Business Center of Bahia
Assists micro, small and mid-size companies that need more effective support in the process of internationalizing and attaining performance levels compatible with market demands, including the domestic market. In partnership with the Government and other organizations, PROMO offers to the business community: technical assistance and information regarding procedures, logistics and foreign trade statistics; prospecting and market surveys and analyses; business training and qualification through consultation, courses, seminars, workshops, etc.; support to cooperation, joint ventures, business partnerships and direct investments; participation in trade fairs, commercial delegations and business matchmaking meetings; and technical and promotional material, among other things.
PROMO also offers the Formation of Traders and Foreign Trade Consultants for Small and Mid-size Businesses program. The objective of this initiative, made up of training modules, is to prepare professionals and form a network of multipliers capable of giving support to implementation of actions necessary to the internationalization process of small and mid-size businesses in Bahia. This is done through partnership with these businesses, even making possible the outsourcing of promotion and sales efforts, as exemplified by the management of the sectorial export groups.
SEBRAE/BA
The institution intends to make possible the access and the amplification of the products
and services produced by the small companies in the national market. SEBRAE/BA carries through the following actions:
1) Promotion to the internal trade:
a) Access to markets - a set of actions destined to make possible the insertion of products and services of the small companies in the internal market, through trade fairs, commercial delegations and business matchmaking meetings fairs, franchises and qualification of suppliers.
b) Electronic commerce - it aims to allow the presence of smaller companies in the internal markets through the use of electronic mechanisms of sale of its products and services.
c) Business opportunities - represents actions of business promotions, operating in the marketing treatment and availability of opportunities.
2) Promotion to the foreign trade: assists the small businesses in the articulation and in the search of new alternatives of commercialization, promotes associations of economical interest and partnerships that guarantee the success of the investments in the context of economy globalization. To support the small businesses in the participation of this context, SEBRAE and APEX (Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Export) offer some instruments for the external trade, such as export consortium, electronic commerce, external infrastructure, promotion to the exportation, sectorial integrated and multisectorial developments.
CIN - International Business Center
CIN-FIEB is the partner of micro, small e medium companies in many activities of international trade: it promotes international businesses (with focus in the exportations) and divulges the exporting culture.
